Day 1: Management of Wrist Injuries

  1. Understand Wrist Anatomy: Describe the anatomy of the wrist, including ligaments and bones, through hands-on drawing exercises.
  2. Analyze Kinematics: Explain the kinematics and mechanics of carpal movement and their significance in wrist function.
  3. Conduct Assessments: Perform hands-on assessments of wrist injuries to identify common pathologies.
  4. Identify Fractures and Dislocations: Recognize and differentiate between distal radius fractures, carpal dislocations, and carpal fractures through case studies and discussions.

Day 2: Management of Elbow Injuries

  1. Explore Elbow Anatomy: Demonstrate an understanding of elbow anatomy and biomechanics through cadaveric dissection.
  2. Perform Elbow Evaluations: Conduct thorough hands-on evaluations of elbow injuries to assess function and stability.
  3. Diagnose Complex Injuries: Identify and classify Terrible Triad injuries of the elbow, including their implications for treatment.
  4. Manage Fractures and Neuropathies: Recognize and manage fractures, dislocations, and compressive neuropathies of the elbow.
  5. Develop Rehabilitation Plans: Formulate strategies for managing a stiff elbow, including rehabilitation and intervention techniques.

These objectives will guide participants in developing a comprehensive understanding of wrist and elbow injuries, as well as practical skills for assessment and management.
